Coho Salmon
Common Name: Coho Salmon or Silver Salmon Description About 90% of these salmons success in returning where they were born to spawn because they do not go on long distances during their life considering the numerous predators always waiting for their migrations. Coho measure 97cm on average and can weigh to 16kg. Color Diet Their food is constituted of mollusks and crustaceans which contribute to the orangish color of their flesh. They are also significantly present in lakes and rivers of the IX region.

Coho are born in rivers where they spend about a year before moving to the sea - in group - where they become adult after two or three years. Contrary to other salmons, Coho stay within a 200 km radius from their birth place where they return to reproduce.
While evolving in the Ocean, Coho have silver sides and a dark blue back. As the other species of this type, the reproduction step affects the curve of their jaws and tooth becoming a sort of hook. Reddish shades also appear on their sides and on their head and their back green bluish shades with dark spots appear too.
