Description

Brown trout is the most common trout and one of the favorites among sport fishers because trout hardly got caught with decoys and thus it’s a real challenge for fishers to get a brown trout.

Also, because of their capacity to avoid danger and being aggressive and astute this kind of fish is worth being captured.

With an elongated and gathered body and a big and long head Brown Trout has a rounded snout ending by a large mouth. This kind of fish in the Salmonid Family is very sturdy and can weigh to 14kg. However, its dimensions are smaller than for the Rainbow Trout as the maximum size is of 80cm.

Color

The superior part is brown, hence the name, and on the sides the tone becomes gold-brown to be yellowish on the abdomen. Brown Trout has spots on its whole body, they are green or brown on the top and on the sides they are mixed up with red marks in pale circles.

Diet

The Brown Trout diet is composed of aquatic and land insects like grubs and worms. Being adult, this trout also eats crustaceans and some kind of fishes.

Environment

This particular fish lives in fast-flowing waters but it can also evolve in lakes of lower temperatures very easily.
