Atlantic Salmon
Common Name: Atlantic Salmon Description Being adult, they can go back to the place they were born thanks to their excellent sense of smell protecting themselves from currents to reach the place they will spawn and where the female put eggs on the bed of the river. They are characterized by an elongated body covered by small rounded scales and smooth sides. Its head is small regarding the size of its body. This kind of salmon can measure to 1.5mt and weigh more than 45kg. Color Diet The Atlantic Salmon diet is composed of aquatic and land insects like grubs and worms. Being adult, this trout also eats crustaceans and some kind of fishes. Environment This kind of fish lives in rivers and coasts in the South of Chile where it experiences its cycle of birth, maturity and reproduction.

The Atlantic Salmon is a fish from the salmon Family and as the others from its family it is native from rivers until it reaches 15cm and then it starts living in the sea.
Atlantic Salmon is of a brownish-gray color and green or blue on the back with silver sides and the abdomen is silver or withish.
