Description

Tineo is a green tree growing between the VI and WI regions, especially in damp areas between 35 and 47 degrees South latitude. Tineo trees reach 30m high and 1m of diameter. The trunk is straight and cylindrical, with a grey crumpled bark.

Tineo wood is beautiful but does not last long. This tree is used as fine ornaments in Chilean gardens, its flowers are a good source of nectar for bees and the honey they provide.
