Description

Typical green tree of the Center-South Chile area, located at between 35 and 47 degrees South latitude, and from sea level up to 1,200M high. They grow in very humid areas, in not very deep grounds, including swampy grounds.

The typical Oak tree is leafy and tall, reaching about 40m of height and until 4m of diameter. Its bark is grey and the form of its branches is horizontal. Its wood is light yellow, and is mainly used for carpentry and construction; its wood is considered as being of average quality, and thus resistant and durable.
