Southern river Otter
Common Name: Southern river otter Description This medium-sized otter's body can grow up to 70 cm long, with a tail being about 40 cm. Its skin is dark-brown on the top and has a lighter cinnamon color on its underside. Its diet includes fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and birds. Due to increasing undiscriminate hunting for its skin, the river otter was declared in a state of conservation and protection.

The Southern river otter is a species of otter which lives in Chile. It can be found in rivers, estuaries, canals and rocky coasts, as well as in areas of dense vegetation like of trees and big roots.
